Dexter Fletcher steps behind the camera and effortlessly transits to feature directing

Dexter Fletcher, though known for his acting, has stepped behind the camera and made an effortless transition into feature directing. After receiving critical acclaim for his debut film ‘Wild Bill’, he has since gone on to shoot ‘Sunshine on Leith’, based on the sensational stage hit of the same name, featuring music by pop-folk band The Proclaimers.

The film follows the stories of Davy and Ally, who have to re-learn how to live life in Edinburgh after coming home from serving in Afghanistan. Both struggle to learn to live a life outside of the army and how to deal with the everyday struggles of family, relationships and jobs. Now his latest feature, ‘Eddie The Eagle’, starring Hugh Jackman and Taron Egerton, has already smashed the box office rankings. With a flair for comedy and brilliant performance, Dexter is certainly an exciting addition to the roster.
